Biography

Brett Davis is the CEO and Founder of IQ Podcasts, a growing and well respected media network located in Coronado, California. His clientele includes the LA Times, San Diego Union Tribune, Father Joe's Villages, his hometown Chula Vista/Bonita Newspaper and the Harbor Police Foundation. He is also currently creating shows for Palomar Health and SDG&E.

Brett is the Publisher for IQ Podcasts Magazine, a high end tabletop quarterly magazine. He has a show called "The Brett Davis Podcast" where he interviews interesting people with interesting stories. He also has a new podcast show with his radio co-host and business partner, Larry Delrose, called "Quickies: Quick Bits of News Nuggets" for those who want to hear the news, but don't have a lot of time. He also has a podcast show with Dr. Melinda Silva on Anti-Aging called "Biohacks and Brawn."

Brett Davis is the producer and narrator for his new film documentary, The Big Dump - Our Pacific Ocean in Crisis which is due to premiere at film festivals around the country this year.

Recently, Brett Davis was honored as a finalist for "CEO of the Year" in the San Diego Business Journal (Summer 2023).

Brett retired from radio just recently as the Host for the "Brett Davis Show" on KCBQ The Answer, FM 96.1 North County, AM 1170 San Diego, and KTIE 590 Inland Empire & Los Angeles.  His love for radio allowed him to be on air for over 10 years beginning with "The Brett Davis Success Hour" on ESPN radio, Real Talk San Diego and Blog Talk Radio. Earlier this year, Brett also ended his two-year collaboration as publisher with Beyond the Bridge newspaper in Coronado in order to focus more on his documentaries, podcast and magazine.

Brett's commitment and dedication has always been focused on honoring and acknowledging our everyday heroes from San Diego County.  He honors military warriors, teachers, law enforcement officers, firefighters, nurses, public servants and businesses that give back to the community.  In 2022, Brett honored thirteen local citizens for charitable and selfless acts of kindness at a dinner and talent show event held in Coronado.

Brett and his wife Sarah founded The San Diego Teachers Academia Awards back in 2019, a formal gala that shines the light on educational distinction and recognizes excellence by honoring exceptional educators including support staff and legends who have given their lives to education. 

Brett's passion for life has always revolved around fitness and nutrition. His grandfather was an herbologist from Jalisco, Mexico. At the age of sixteen, he was trained and mentored in the health and fitness field by his first boss, the late Jack Lalanne, who is known in the Fitness Industry as the "Father of Fitness." He was also mentored by the late Steve Reeves, who was an actor who played Hercules in the earlier days of film.  Brett also worked closely for many years with nutrition and fitness expert Mits Kawashima from Oahu,Hawaii.

 

Brett studied at the Natural Healing Institute, Holistic Health College of Naturapathy, under Dr. Steven R. Schechter.  He is also the CEO of Brett's Naturals, a supplement company that he is currently restructuring.  He is a retired nutritionist, trainer and life coach with an extensive list of clients that want him back.  He has trained thousands of people which include many celebrities, Navy SEALs, professional athletes, and business professionals, including high school students. Brett is also a 3x AAU Natural Mr. Universe in BodyBuilding (Classic Age 50-59).
